About Toby
As a kid, Toby tinkered with cameras, made movies and developed a love for drawing. After high school, he began studying to become a Special FX and CGI artist at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment. Shortly after, Toby decided to take a chance at a career in front of the camera and signed up for his first acting class.
Enrolling in the NIDA Open program in 2018, it was there that he first discovered his love of the acting process. Toby was immediately captivated by the challenge of bringing characters to life and exploring the intricacies of human relationships.
The endless fascination of the possibilities that a monologue presents quickly began to preoccupy Toby’s attention while at his day job. As did the weekly workshopping of a scene at acting class. Toby’s ambition rapidly became focussed on improving his ability and one day attending the BFA at NIDA.
At his time at NIDA, Toby has refined his craft and approach to acting and is thrilled about what the future has to offer.
