About Samantha
Samantha is a creative producer and arts worker who has worked in the cultural sector for almost a decade, spanning arts and music festivals, touring, technical production, independent screen, circus arts, and community development. From hanging drapes in transient circus tents, to navigating multi-tabbed formulated spreadsheets, Samantha has worked behind stages and desks nationally and internationally.
She recently found herself at home again in Boorloo (Perth), where she started her career at 15 years old booking gigs for local bands, before completing her Bachelor of Arts Management at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). She is the recipient of career awards and recognition for a number of her social inclusion arts projects including founding Safer Venues WA, feminist powerhouse YUCK Circus, Melbourne Fringe’s 2018 Venue of the Year Camp Conscious Collective, and the chronic illness and disability-led Get Well Circus.
Her Master’s research paper was grounded in her heartland of accessibility and inclusion models in arts festivals and explored the leadership of Auckland Arts Festival in 2022. Samantha’s passion for accessibility and inclusion will be championed in her advocacy and creative producer practice.
