About Samantha
Samantha grew up with a passion for all things creative that evolved into a love for costume for film, television and especially theatre. Samantha spent some time at UNSW exploring textiles and jewellery before completing a Certificate III in Fashion Design and Technology at Ultimo TAFE,before being accepted into the BFA (Costume) course at NIDA.
At NIDA Samantha has expanded her cutting and construction skills for both period and contemporary wear, developing her costume history knowledge as well as new skills in millinery, tailoring and supervising.
The opportunities provided to work and collaborate with other disciplines during student productions has informed and encouraged her aspirations for costume supervising.
Samantha explored her passion for live performance and the ‘magic’ of theatre through her masterwork which analysed transformative costumes. She is excited to enter the industry and learn more about live performance, however also aspires to gain experience and explore a range of roles in film and television.
