NIDA acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we learn and tell stories, the Bidjigal, Gadigal, Dharawal and Dharug peoples, and we pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present.

Rachel Crossan

Born to an Anglo-Scottish father and an Ethiopian mother, Rachel was raised in the era of DVDs and – more importantly – bonus discs. Special features, cut scenes and behind-the-scenes explainers nurtured an already growing love of performance and story-telling, which blossomed into hopes, dreams and aspirations.

Ever-fuelled by her desire to develop her artistry, Rachel adds this degree to an already extensive list of qualifications, including a Bachelor of Contemporary Music & Performance (JMC Academy) and a Diploma of Musical Theatre (NIDA).

With a strong repertoire of skill and a broad spectrum of training, Rachel is eager to tell active, energetic and happy stories. She hopes to nurture and share her joy for expressive and interdisciplinary performance styles with as many people as possible, and dreams of inspiring a new generation of young children “who’ll bring back the bonus discs!”
