Nathan Lockyer grew up in Brisbane and is passionate about stage mechanics, automation and rigging. His teenage years allowed him to explore engineering and mechanics in the form of gaining certificates in aviation (remote piloting drones); engineering (robotics) and representing Australia in a global robotics challenge.
This passion led to interest in staging and set building for the entertainment industry. NIDA has been instrumental in extending his knowledge of CAD, welding and metal and woodworking for the past 3 years. It has also introduced him to all things theatre!
Nathan is committed to producing the best he can and always pushes himself to achieve even when the going gets tough. He is ready for any challenge and always willing to learn new skills.
