Naomi O’Connor

Naomi (she/her) is a passionate theatre practitioner who first found her love for theatre and stage management while volunteering in the youth community theatre scene in Adelaide.

During her time at NIDA, Naomi has worked on a range of productions, highlights of which include Falsettos (NIDA, David Berthold) as Assistant Stage Manager, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (NIDA, Constantine Costi) as Deputy Stage Manager, as well as completing her major third year secondment with Opera Australia’s West Side Story on the Harbour.

Naomi’s training at NIDA has seen her take on diverse roles including head electrician, sound designer and lighting crew, as well as many stage management positions. Upon graduation, Naomi aspires to build a global career around stage management, with a focus on musicals and theatre. She has a keen interest in touring productions and most of all looks forward to further growing artistically and honing her technical skills through working with expert colleagues across the industry.
