About Joel
Joel (he/him) is a Sydney based Technical Stage/Production Manager and Lighting Technician. Joel found his love for theatre while completing a Bachelor of Commerce at Macquarie University graduating in 2020 which led him down a path culminating in
a decision to complete NIDAs Bachelor of Technical Theatre and Stage Management.
Across his time at NIDA Joel has had the opportunity build his skills across many different facets of theatre including stage and production management, lighting, sound, and video but has found a particular affinity for stage and production management as well as lighting systems and programming.
During his studies Joel also developed a particular interest in Touring which he was able to channel when undertaking secondments with Bell Shakespeare . Joel is looking forward to pursuing touring further and continuing to learn and build on all the skills and knowledge he gained during his NIDA experience.
