About Helena
Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, by Irish Australian mother and American father, Helena was lucky to grow up in family of avid readers. Learning to read on classic Nancy Drew novels, and endless movie nights of Doris Day and Audrey Hepburn boxsets, Helena’s love for stories was inherited.
Helena has been involved in the Performing arts from a young age, taking dance and singing lessons, and continued these studies through high school. She began seriously pursuing the arts at WAAPA completing her Diploma of Musical Theatre in 2018. Helena took a year away from acting training to study History and Literature at UWA. During this time, she continued in independent theatre and nominated for Best Newcomer by the Performing Arts WA Theatre Awards for her titular role in Miss Westralia at the Blue Room Theatre, before being accepted into NIDA’s BFA Singing Actor stream.
Helena has been fortunate to develop her skills and networks while at NIDA and is excited to enter the industry, with a particular passion for female centric teams and projects.
