Harrison will be the first to tell you that he didn’t have childhood dreams of becoming an actor. Born in Papua New Guinea and raised by a single mother, Harrison’s family moved to Australia when he was eight in search of a better education – a privilege that he has never taken for granted.
Harrison’s great passion for music sat alongside his newfound footballing fantasies and interest in politics. He found a way with words through HipHop and, when he wasn’t on the football pitch, Harrison was freestyle rapping and doing comedic impersonations all over the schoolyard.
After being prompted by his teachers to study drama, he took a liking to the stage and used it to express himself in ways he couldn’t quite do before. When Harrison’s mother saw his first play, she told him, “You know Harrison, if you become an actor, you can be whatever you want to be.” And that was all she wrote. Mama was right.
