About Alyona
Alyona is Russian, and migrated to Australia, to Adelaide at the age of 4. She is fluent in Russian and has basic French and is aiming to become fluent in that as well. Her biggest passion as a child was ballet, but as her parents didn’t allow her to take classes, she took up the piano instead. She first explored performing arts through classical music, and her love for creating story and atmosphere grew from there.
With an ambitious drama teacher in high school who enjoyed doing provocative and meaningful works, Alyona was introduced to the world of theatre and performed in many school productions. She fell in love with dramatic performance which led her to audition for NIDA.
Whilst training at NIDA, Alyona has found interest in all areas of performance and storytelling, including screen acting, physical theatre and voice. She can’t wait to go out into the industry and apply herself to her newly found passions.
