This winter holidays the National Institute for Dramatic Art are here to help you escape the cold with a great line-up of classes right across Australia.
NIDA’s expert teachers are making it easy for everyone to get involved with courses around Sydney as well as in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Darwin and Armidale.
Head of NIDA Open, Caroline Spence says these classes offer anyone from young kids to adults the opportunity to find their creative voice through fun and unique arts experiences.
“This school holidays, we are making it easier to get involved with NIDA by bringing our popular classes to different locations around Sydney,” Caroline says.
“Whether you are looking for intensive training to build your acting skills, or you just want to try something new, NIDA has a class to suit you. The classes cover the different elements that go into creating a performance, including acting, movement and voice work.

- Acting Boot Camp – An intensive and fun course for aspiring actors that will build your skills in improvisation, creating a character and preparing a scene.
- Pirate School – Meet mermaids, fight pirates and discover new lands in your very own high-seas adventure! A fun way to introduce younger children to the exciting world of drama.
- NIDA Bites – Be challenged by a smorgasbord of different drama skills in one day. Take classes in voice, movement, improvisation and acting in a taste-test of what NIDA has to offer.
- NIDA Mini Pop Stars – Discover all the moves that make a pop star! Create a character, learn a dance routine and invent your own lyrics ready to meet your fans.
