Vale Nicholas Eadie

The NIDA community is saddened by the passing of alum Nicholas Eadie (Acting, 1980).

Nick’s career spanned 40 years across theatre, film and television, including winning an AFI (AACTA) award for his role in the 1987 miniseries Vietnam opposite Nicole Kidman, and appearing in many well-known Australian TV productions, including A Country Practice, Return to Snowy River and Halifax FP.

On stage, Nick performed with every major Australian theatre company, including Mamma Mia! at the Princess Theatre, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof for Melbourne Theatre Company and the original production of fellow alum Tommy Murphy’s (Directing, 2004) Holding the Man for the Griffin Theatre Company.
