NIDA supports pathways for school students in Vocational Studies

NIDA has partnered with schools for the past 14 years, supporting high school students and Entertainment teachers to transition towards further education opportunities, via vocational educational training (VET) courses.

NIDA has been working with schools for the past 14 years, supporting high school students and Entertainment teachers to transition towards further education opportunities, via vocational educational training (VET) courses.

NIDA has partnered with the Department of Education to deliver the CUA30415 Certificate III in Live Production and Services. This course is delivered in an intensive format, run across two weeks, with a separate day for White Card training. Entry is by application via your school’s RTO.

NIDA is also able to customise delivery of the CUA30415 Certificate III in Live Production and Services or White Card training/ CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry as a stand-alone unit for Entertainment students. Live Performance Australia recently announced that White Card training is mandatory for working in a live production space; NIDA can deliver this training to students contextualised from an industry perspective.

NIDA pathways for VET Entertainment students are ideal. Students are well equipped to transition towards the range of NIDA’s Diploma course offerings, which include:
CUA51015 Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Make-up Services)
CUA50213 Diploma of Musical Theatre
10196NAT Diploma of Stage and Screen Performance
CUA50415 Diploma of Live Production and Technical Services

NIDA also offers work experience to school students interested in working on the various productions, showcases and events throughout the academic year. NIDA’s Work Experience application period is open from January to March; applications can be made through the Schools and Teachers section on the NIDA website.
