Young, creative Adelaide students caught up with NIDA CEO/Director Kate Cherry last week, as the budding performers were offered the chance to grow as artists through NIDA Open’s new Scholarship Program.

Young, creative Adelaide students caught up with NIDA Director/CEO Kate Cherry last week, as the budding performers were offered the chance to grow as artists through NIDA Open’s new Scholarship Program.
Casey Brown of Willunga High, Caitlin Selge of Mitcham Girls, Susannah Inverarity of Ocean View College, Taperoo, and Joshua Naspinski of North Adelaide Senior College won the chance to learn drama, screen and auditions skills and discover new ways to ignite their passion for performance.
Kellie Mackereth, whose career includes directing productions for Sydney-based theatre companies Belvoir and Griffin Independent, returns to her home city of Adelaide to work with the students at Christian Brothers College.
Australia’s leading institution for dramatic arts education and training, the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), encourages the future generation of young performing artists to enhance their journey in the arts by learning from leading professional artists in their field.
NIDA Open offers a chance for young people and adults to develop their skills and passion for a broad range of performing arts courses. Classes are open for eight weeks starting 14 October in the heart of Adelaide at the Restless Dance Theatre in Gilles Street. The popular Summer Holiday course program starts on 15 January at Scotch College.

NIDA Open is the perfect doorway to additional professional development, or simply can be a way to explore an untapped creative side.’
