About Sarah
Sarah graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Music Performance-Improvisation, in Voice (2003) and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University (1998).
Sarah has worked professionally as a voice and performance consultant for independent record labels and Top 10 artists in Australian TV shows: The Voice, New Young Talent Time, Australian Idol and The X Factor.
As Artistic Director of MettaMusic, Sarah specialises in ‘trouble-shooting’ for actors, singers, musicians and performing artists. Her teaching philosophy is focussed on helping artists to break through technical and emotional obstacles to stimulate meaningful performances of self-expression and service. Sarah’s extended training and certifications in Meridian Energy Therapies (MET), have made her an emerging specialist in noninvasive techniques for reducing performance anxiety.
Sarah has also had a performance career both as an actor in theatre, television and film, and as a vocalist on stage and in studio. Her screen credits include Stupid Stupid Man, The Gruen Transfer, Katusha and Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
In 2019, Sarah worked as Vocal Support on MEAT EATERS and Marat/Sade, and tutored NIDA students from many disciplines. Sarah is a proud member of VASTA and attended their conference in Orlando, Florida in 2019.
