Leah Tolmosoff

About Leah

Leah is a popular culture enthusiast from Los Angeles, California. She found love for the theatre at Santa Monica College and decided to pursue acting with a focus on Shakespeare at the University of California Santa Cruz. She graduated with a BA in theatre and a minor in dance. Leah was also an assistant director in the renowned Santa Cruz Shakespeare Festival. To get her foot in the door of the film industry, Leah worked for an entertainment public relations firm in Hollywood; after sometime she felt it was not a genuine part of the world in which she wanted to participate. Leah then traveled much of Asia and landed in Australia for a working holiday, and has not left since due to her deep love for Sydney and the beautiful landscapes of Australia.

Leah is curious about social media and reality TV and how these platforms have become our main mediums of entertainment. She loves writing characters based on ‘influencers’ and their obsessions with make-up tutorials and their insatiable appetites for recording everything resulting in a growing culture of narcissism. Leah’s aim is to inspire audiences to stick their heads outside their windows and listen to the birds and the bees.
