About Alex

Originally from Hobart, Alex is a child-performer-turned-arts-administrator working across the performing arts. His experience includes company management, ticketing, casting, artistic planning and producing.

For the last eight years he has worked primarily at The Australian Ballet, currently as Senior Artistic Coordinator. In this role he has toured to every mainland Australian capital city and overseas, while managing the day-to-day activities of 100 dancers and artistic staff and leading the short-medium term planning for the company’s creative team.
Throughout his Masters, Alex focussed on LGBTQIA+ leadership, diversity and inclusion, and the future of major institutions. He has been inspired by meeting so many incredible creatives at NIDA and looks forward to witnessing their contribution to Australia’s cultural conversation.
