The 2024 APDG Awards were held at the State Library in Brisbane on Saturday 24 August, celebrating the creativity and excellence of Australian designers working in visual media and entertainment. NIDA would like to congratulate the 24 alumni nominated across all categories, the 8 winners and all those involved in the success of each project and production.
NIDA’s Design for Performance Course Leader, Bob Cousins attended the ceremony and presented the NIDA FOUNDATION TRUST EMERGING DESIGNER FOR A LIVE PERFORMANCE OR EVENT AWARD. He said, ‘One of the strengths of NIDA is our connection to industry, so it was heartening to see so many NIDA alumni represented amongst the nominees and award winners, across screen, live performance and events at the 2024 APDG awards. Thank you to everybody who provides support to our design students through teaching, mentoring, industry placement opportunities or for simply responding to an email from an emerging designer, curious and keen to know more.’
