Born to a Mauritian mother and an Australian father living in Melbourne, Leon was raised French-speaking. In his youth, Leon would spend his time sharing a range of illustrious performances in his living room for the grand audience of his less-than-enthusiastic family. Leon’s performances pioneered the art of merging song, dance, karate, and some senseless yelling.
As he grew older, Leon began to take his passions more seriously and participated in school and local theatre musicals, and competed and won national acapella competitions, before commencing at WAAPA, graduating with a Diploma of Musical Theatre in 2021. Currently in the NIDA BFA Singing Actor Stream, Leon has further developed his craft as a performer and creative, and is eager to commence his career telling stories alongside inspiring people.
