Dakotah is a proud First Nations Anēwan woman. Growing up on Anēwan country (Armidale NSW) she loves going back home to her family and the bush.
For over 18 years she has played the cello in ensembles and orchestras, she loves choral music and has toured internationally with Gondwana Choirs, to the UK and Baltic states. Dakotah grew up playing representative indoor and field hockey, she is a confident mover and thrives at sunrise, whether that be in the ocean or on the reformer. In 2021, she graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University with a Bachelor of Music Performance (Classical Voice/Opera), which allowed her to study language and travel to Italy on exchange.
In 2021, Dakotah successfully auditioned for both of NIDA’s BFA Acting and MFA Directing programs. Dakotah has always been passionate about fostering unified, supportive and dedicated communities. Her faith and upbringing have shaped her, and her curiosity in others inspires her love of storytelling.
