Home Profile Celesté Cortes Davis

Celesté Cortes Davis

A Chilean/Australian from Tasmania, Celesté grew up by the water, kayaking, snorkelling and bushwalking the coast, rainforests and highlands of the island state. Raised by an artist and single mum, she took it upon herself to supply the dad jokes whilst camping and on trips to the farm. Celesté always found comfort watching Zorro and The Cisco Kid home by the fireplace fueling her love of cinema.

Balancing her love for cross-country running and soccer with inflicting self-directed shows to rooms of trapped students, Celesté spent the years before NIDA performing in community plays, musical theatre, and working as an extra on productions including The Gloaming in 2019.

In 2023, Celesté was featured in NIDA’s Festival of Emerging Artists.
