Home Profile Alex Travers

Alex Travers

Born and raised in Melbourne, Alex always had a love for singing and dancing – with her parents enrolling her in dance classes when she was three years old. Through her early childhood, Alex flourished with classes in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop. She then started guitar lessons when she was 6, which led to singing and acting classes not long after.

At the age of 10, Alex attended her first audition, which was an open call for Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Misérables, and was honoured to land the role of Little Cosette for both the 2014 Melbourne and 2015 Perth seasons.

She continued her professional career throughout her adolescence, working in multiple disciplines. Alex has performed in the children’s chorus of two Opera Australia productions, King Roger and La Bohème. A short film, Mrs McCutcheon, directed by John Sheedy. Theatre productions, such as The Salvation Army Christmas Special, and TVCs. When not performing, Alex is a keen painter, particularly of local landscapes and skylines.
