NIDA extends applications deadline for 2019

NIDA is extending the application period for all its 2019 Masters, Bachelor and Diploma courses to 31 October, giving prospective students a month longer to finalise their application.

NIDA is extending the application period for all its 2019 Masters, Bachelor and Diploma courses to 31 October,giving prospective students a month longer to finalise their application.

‘We want to make sure everyone with a passion to pursue a performing arts career has a chance to take part in our incredible 60th anniversary year in 2019. We’re keen to offer the opportunity to all potential Australian and International students to join our vibrant institution as it nurtures the beginnings of the next generation of Australian artists,’ said NIDA Director/CEO Kate Cherry.

NIDA will be bursting with creative projects throughout 2019, including two Student Production Seasons, EXPONIDA, Writers’ Readings, ‘In Conversation’ events with NIDA alumni and more.

In addition to the world-renowned Acting course, NIDA offers Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Costume (costume-making), Design for Performance, Properties and Objects (props-making), Scenic Construction, and Technical Theatre, and Stage Management.

Master of Fine Arts degrees are offered in Cultural Leadership, Design for Performance, Directing, Voice (voice teaching) and Writing for Performance.

Accredited Vocational Diplomas are also offered in Live Production and Technical Services, Musical Theatre, Specialist Make-up Services, and Stage and Screen Performance.

Support for enrolled students is offered with scholarships and bursaries, and for the MFA Cultural Leadership NIDA is encouraging Indigenous arts practitioners to apply for the 2018 Luminis Foundation Indigenous Fellowship.
